Our History

Hargy International School (HIS) traces its origins to 1979, when it was established as Bialla International Primary School, offering education from Pre-School to Year 6. Over time, the school expanded to Year 8, supporting students to continue secondary studies within the province. After more than 40 years of growth, it was renamed Hargy International School in 2020 to reflect its evolving vision.

A major milestone came in 2022 with the completion of modern high school facilities, officially opened in 2023 alongside the school’s first Year 12 cohort. In 2025, HIS gained accreditation to deliver the ACT Senior Secondary Curriculum, enabling students to achieve an ATAR and pursue higher education globally, with the program commencing in 2026.

Today, HIS is a forward-looking institution dedicated to academic excellence, cultural diversity, and holistic student development, preparing learners for success in a global world.
